Faith Lutheran Church, 1212
Connection, announces the
beginning of a new season of
parish education opportunities
with Rally Day to new Sunday
School classes Sunday.
The opening is held in the
sanctuary at 9 a.m. where both
children and adults alike gather
for prayer, song, scripture,
visual-aid stories before going to
individually graded classes. There
are classes from pro-school
through adult. Adults gather over
coffee fo.r Bible study and
discussion of the issues and
topics relevant to faith and life.
All are invited. Nursery will be
provided for parents with
infants.
Catechetical instruction for
youth of seventh grade and older
will begin September 17 at 6
p.m. The program .consists of
eighteen "mini-courses" taught in
such a way that a course missed
may be picked up at a later date.
Two or more of these
mini-courses will be taught each
month in the future. The first
mini-course is on the theme
baptism and will be the first of
nine courses, taught this year.
Three of them will be in a
retreat setting.
An adult exploration class
will begin September 21
consisting of eight weekly
sessions under the theme
"Getting in on the Mystery of
God's Will." The basic concept
of the course centers on God's
first creation of the world and
universe and His new creation in
Jesus Christ.
All adults who are curious
about exploring the basics of
biblical Christian faith are
invited. There are no obligations
on the part of students.

Laura Stout of Shelton has
qualified for Central Washington
University's 1978 summer
quarter honor roll.
Card party
set for Saturday
A card party is slated for
7:30 p.m. Saturday in Harstine
Island Community Hall.
A potluck and card games
are slated for Sunday in the
home of Glenn Lockwood.
Those attending should bring
eating utensils and a dish to
share. A car pool will leave from
Stella Winter's home at 11 a.m.,
or directions may be obtained by
telephoning 426-8301.
PWP has designated Monday
as Don Clark's day, and on
Tuesday a discussion will be held
at 7:30 p.m. in the home of
Nola Parson with Chuck
C of finger as guest speaker. A
carpool will leave Stella Winter's
home at 7 p.m., or telephone
426-3191 for information.
Wednesday will be Tame
McCarthy's day. For details

Methodists
set luncheon
for Tuesday
Shelton United Methodist
Women will meet Tuesday at 11
a.m. in the Methodist church. A
business meeting will precede a
noon luncheon to be served by
Rachel Circle.
Those who attended the
Cooperative School of Christian
Mission at Pacific Lutheran
University in July will present
the afternoon program entitled,
"What Really Happened at the
School of Mission."
All women are invited to
attend this meeting. A nursery
with babysitter will be provided.

THE ANNUAL WINETASTER sponsored by SheI-Toa will be discussed at
a meeting to be held in the home of treasurer Carol Vernon at 7:30 p.m.
today. The event has been set for October 7 at Mason County
Fairgrounds. Other SheI-Toa officers for the coming year are president
