Page 32 — Shelton—Mason County Journal — Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023 PUBLIC NOTICES Continued from 27 PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE OF SEPA PROCESS COM— MENT PERIOD Application Name: City of Shelton Water Well One Existing Pipeline Replacement Application File No.: SEPA Number 06—2023 Primary Contact (Ap— plicant): City of Shelton Department of Engineering Jay Harris City Engineer 525 West Cota Street Shelton, WA 98584 E— mail: Jay.Harris@sheltonwa.gov Phone: 360—432—5144 Application/SEPA Checklist Submitted: August 15, 2023 Project Lo— cation: Well #1 is located just west of the intersection of North Shelton Springs Road and North 13th Street on Mason County Parcel Number 32007~30—60030. The wa~ terline in question (to be replaced) exists from that point and trends (underground) to the southeast to what is commonly known as the“‘Springs” site on the northwest corner of the intersection of K Street and North 13th Street. ’From there, the exist— ing gravity fed line goes south down north 13th Street and then trends southeast from (approximately) E Street to the existing water tank located behind the Timberland Library. The tank site is located on Mason County Parcel Number 32019—63-06000. See attached project location map. Proj— ect Description: The project intends to replace an existing 16-to~24—inch, gravity fed, water line that starts at the Well 1 site and runs approximately 4,800 linear feet to the existing “High School” Water Tank lo— cated north/behind the Shelton Timberland Library (the Former Shelton High School). The water line varies in size from 16 to 24 inch and is currently gravity fed. The entire length is proposed to be replaced with a 12-inch pressurized line. The city proposes to replace the first 850 feet (from the Well 1 site to the “Springs” site) through direct burial/trenching and the remaining 3,950 feet will be “slip” lined in place. Sediment and erosion control will be set up as re- quired by the City of Shelton in all areas of ground disturbance. Environmental Re— view: The lead agency for this proposal has determined that the project does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment. An environmental impact statement (EIS) is not required under RCW 43.21C.030(2)(c). This decision was made after review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with the lead agency. The City of SheltOn will not act on this proposal any sooner than 14 days after the issuance of this DNS pur— suant to WAC 197—11840.
