Albright family McCord/Monette family Habitat for Humanity Celebrates Two Homes and Two Families in September Habitat for Humanity of Mason County will soon honor two families who are about to receive Habitat homes. Habitat welcomes the public to both events. At 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11, Habitat will host a house blessing on Habitat house No. 21, the future home of the Albright fam- ily. The blessing is at the home on 1027 W Euclid, Shelton. A special 9/11 prayer will also be held at the blessing. Home blessings are an informal, yet meaningful setting to take a moment to bless the home, those who help build the home and the family. Guests are encouraged to write a message or prayer on the studs throughout the home. Danisa and Robert Albright have two boys, Ethan, 6, and Aaron, 3. They current- ly live in Matlock and commute to Shelton. At 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18 the McCord family will receive their keys to their new Habitat home. The home dedication will take place at 71 East Wood Lane in the Sho- recrest community. The McCord/Monette family includes Te- resa, her fianc6 Shawn and their three chil- dren Shawn, 8, Jacob, 7, and Ariel, 5. Teresa and Shawn will be married in October. Habitat for Humanity is a faith-based non-profit organization that builds afford- able housing for low-income families in need. The Habitat house is purchased by the partner family with a no-interest, no- profit mortgage. The homeowners commit to the program with their 400 hours of sweat equity downpayment and two mortgage con- tracts.
