View in Shelton, where they added daugh- . years. Stella worked for many years at Exceptional Foresters, Inc. A generous caregiver, she made an impact on many residents of the group hemes she ; served; she also gave oversight to a small retail store operated by the EFI E ' Company, where several of the residents created hand-stitched quilts that 3 V. Stella helped to sew. Even recently she enjoyed fond memories from those 3 special days. As their children grew up and got married, Bob and Stella’s place on the j . bay became home-away-from-home for seven grandchildren and countless : unrelated “family” whom they welcomed with open arms. In their retired . 5 years, Bob and Stella enjoyed time with family and friends, always ready to host company or let the kids come play on the beach. After Bob’s passing in 2011, Stella lived first at Northcliff Adult Family i Home, then with her son Butch and his wife Becky before moving to Shel~ , ' ton Health and Rehabilitation Center in 2016. There she made strong bonds ' with her loving caregivers and enjoyed the company of her sister Nancy God- : g ding, her roommate of the past year-and—a-half. Our family wishes to specifi- '_ cally thank the Team 3 nurses at SHR for their kindness and commitment, : : becoming more of her “family” over the years she was there, as well as the administrative staff who, especially during the time of COVID-19, worked , hard to make sure that difficult times were as bearable as possible. With family coming to visit her at the window most every day and, finally, with her daughter Jaynee at her side, Stella slipped into the arms of her i Savior on Sunday, August 30th. . Stella was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Bob, and 1 her youngest brother, Tom. She is survived by two sisters and one brother, her three children, seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and the ' many, many people she treated like family over the years. 2 Stella’s door was always open, and all were welcome at her table a legacy V of love that we Will strive to continue. On August 12th, 1949, Stella married Robert “Bob” Cleveland of Shelton. They lived the next ; four years at Camp Grisdale, where they had two sons, Robert “Butch” and Daniel. They brought :3 their family down the mountain to build a cottage , ter Jaynee to the household. After two years, the family moved to a small farm in the Skokomish ; Valley. In 1967, they moved to their final family home on Hammersley Inlet. The house on Walk- er Park Rd. would be treasured by many for 40+ Phyllis Marie Carpenter Phyllis Marie Carpenter 82, a loving Mother, , died August 24th 2020, with family at her side. i Due to Covid19 no service will be held. Interment will be at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA; , Phyllis was born in Lowville, NY, 1938, to Floyd -; Leo Cannan and Gladys Evelyn (Morrisey) Can- nan.-She married Robert Cliffton Carpenter in An—- chorage AK, 1973, who preceded her in death in I 2010. . Phyllis is survived by daughters Roberta Mil- a dred (Hamilton) Roth, Shirley Roberta Carpenter, and Marie Robette Carpenter. Phyllis was an avid craftsperson and volunteer at Mason General Hos- pital. She always had a smile for you when you came to the cafeteria. ally Lou Cook Sally Lou Cook was born on November 15, 1943 as the fifth child of Jack and Bernice Yeck. She 5 passed peacefully in her home on August 21, 2020 3 at the age of 76. Her husband, John Cook Sr., 3 passed in 2012 and she missed him dearly. They married in 1958 just two days shy of her 16th birthday and were happily married for 53 years. : Sally spent much of her life as a homemaker. All i she wanted to be when she grew 'up was a mother. ; For some time, she was an EMT and later she ran f her own daycare. Sally was devoted to her faith in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had many callings in the church including working with the Young Women both at church 5 and as a camp director; she was a primary teacher 2, and was also involved in the Relief Society. 5' She was survived by her children John, Darla, George, Martin, Doreen ~: " and Jacob. She was a delighted grandmother of 18 grandchildren and a ful- : filled great-grandmother of 33 great-grandchildren.
