Nursing program starts again after hiatus
The Nursing Assistant program at
Olympic College, which was discontin-
ued, is scheduled to begin again with the
start of fall quarter on Sept. 24, and is
currently accepting new enrollees.
Nursing Assistant students can com-
plete a five-module certification course
that prepares them to take the Washing-
ton State Nursing:ssistant examination.
Nursing and nursing support jobs are
in high demand and the program will
help to provide a source of qualified ap-
plicants to fill current and anticipated job
openings in the area, college officials said.
Demographics for Kitsap County,
Washington state and the country indicate
that nursing assistant jobs will increase
substantially over the next 10 years.
