Inez “Nezzy” Glee (Benson) letters
Inez “Nezzy” (ilee (Benson) Jelfers was
born on January 19, 1958 to Walter and
Pearl Benson, in Seattle, Wasl‘iington. She
passed on July 16, 2023, at home with
family and friends around her.
She is survived by brother, ’alter
(Marjorie) Benson and sister Marilyn
Kolcz. She is preceded in death by both
parents and her brother Jimmy.
Nezzy was engaged to Ronald Shipp,
who passed away before their son Ron
was born in 1979. She married Jelf Jeffers
in 1980 and they had two sons, Jake and
Aaron. Jeff was in the Navy, so the next
few years they traveled a lot. 'l’hey moved
to Shelton in 1996 and divorced in 2005.
In 2006 she met Dave, the love of her life.
'1 hey had been together for 17 years.
Nezzy was always there for everyone. Sh always put everyone‘s needs ahead
ofher
own. She had a wonderful smile. She loved flowers and was an excellent
gardener;
she was a good poker player and even went to
the WP'I'L playoffs in Las Vegas. If you had a
problem with your phone or computer, she could
usually figure it out. She will be greatly missed
by all!
She is survived by her life partner Dave
Wear, three sons, Ron Shipp, Jake (Krysten)
and Aaron, three step—daughters, Bekah (lid),
Julia and Trinity (Ryan), seven grandsons, four
granddaughters and one great~grandson, also
close friends ('iail Yates, Maria Perez, Debbi
Jones and many other friends and family.
Roger Lewis Hoff
Roger Lewis Holf, 84, passed away on
September 9th, 2023. He was the husband
of Linda Hoff. They shared 60 years of
marriage together. '
Born in 'l'acoma, Washington, he was the
son ofLesli ’ and Caroline Hoff. Roger and
his family moved to Shelton, Washington
when he was a young child. He graduated
from Irene S. Reed High School in 1957.
After hiin school, he attended Grays
Harbor College where he played baseball.
After college he was a member ofthe Army
National (iuard. Roger worked for Manke
and Sons beginning as a teenager in 1955
and continued to work for them for many
years up until his retirement in 1997.
Roger enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports
and spending time with his family and
friends. He was a member of Faith Lutheran (fliurch. Roger was a very proud
Shelton
community member and always actively supported local sports and his
community.
You could often lind Roger outside enjoying his flowers, tinkering in his
garage or
talking sports with the guys. He has always been his children and
grandchildren’s
biggest fan, and you could always find him at every one oftheir sporting
events.
Roger will be lovingly remembered by his wife Linda; his three children:
Wendy, Christopher and Michael; as well as his live grandchildren and four
great--
grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and four brothers.
Roger's memorial service will be held at the Shelton 40et8 on Friday,
September
15th, 2023 at 1:00 pm.

Gwen Ila Long
Gwen lla Long was born April 26, 1931,
and passed away peacefully on August 30,
2023, with her daughter Linda Fisher by her
side.
She was born to Merton and Ila (Smith)
Munn in Mitchell, South Dakota. She
married the love of her life Leonard Long
and they had a life full of adventures,
including raising four children, moving 18
times, and finishing her teaching degree
along the way. She taught at Evergreen
lilementary School in Shelton, Washington,
taught preschoolers in Las Vegas and
eventually went to American Samoa to
finish out her teaching career. Nana (as we
all affectionately called her) always loved
living by the water, she bought their house
on Arcadia Point without Leonard seeing it
first. Once they retired, she decided they needed a bigger vast of water,
so they moved
to Ocean Park. As they grew older, they realized that they needed to be
closer to
their doctors and had :1 RV park model moved onto their
granddaugl‘iter’s property
in Shelton. Nana continued to live there until her care became too much and
was
moved to Hearts of Warmth Adult Family Home in Lacey where they took
amazing
care ofher.
Gwen was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Long, son Doug Long and
grandson Brian Fisher. She is survived by her daughters Teri (Mike) Byrd,
Linda
Fisher, Debbie (Bob) l’loof and her sister livie, along with eight
grandchildren, 18
great—grandchildren, and two nieces. She was a Very special lady and will
be deeply
missed by all who knew her.

Steven J. Bogart
Steven J. Bogart of Shelton, WA passed
away on August 11, 2023, surrounded
by his loving family. Steven, fondly
known as “Bogie”, was born to Floyd and
Georgette Bogart on May 27, 1953, in
Everett, WA.
He was an amazing father, grandfather,
husband, brother and friend. He loved and
lived for hunting and fishing. He moved to
Forks, WA to be a logger. He made many
friends over the years while living there.
While he lived in Forks, he not only made
an impact in the logging industry, but he
opened his own fishing guide services. He
would take people on guided trips down
the Hoh and Bogachiel rivers. Bogie lived
to make memories, and having fun while
doing so. He then moved to Shelton, WA
and has touched so many lives.
He is survived by his wife Julie, his two
daughters, Charity and Term, his live
beautiful granddaughters, Brittany, Shelby, Coral, (Ialliope and Collette,
as well as his
two sonyinvlaws, Ron and lithan; also survived by siblings, Sherry, Mary,
liev, Danny
and Tony.
Aside from his love for hunting and fishing, Steven was passionate. about
giving
back and helping others. He helped ‘Veterans and homeless people all the
time. He
would even just be a listening ear. liogie was a loving and caring man who
will be
deeply missed by so many!
Steven’s family will be holding a celebration of his life here in
Shelton, WA on
September 24, 2023, at 51 11 h. Bi‘ockdale Rd., at 12:00 pm.
