For Harold Ellis
Graves]de service was held at
11 a.m., Friday, in .Shelton Me-
morial Park for Harold C. Ellis,
70, Moore Apartments. Services
wer under the direction of the
Rev. E. C. Knautz.
Mr. Ellis wan born June 9, 1889
in Iowa and came to Shelton 25
years ago. He formerly owned and
operated the Quality Dry Clean-
ers for about 14 years prior to
1943. He is survived by several
nephews and nieces.

The Mill Creek What-Nots con-
eluded their last meeting of the
year with the turning in of their
yearbooks last Saturday at the
home of Mrs. Ben Drake.
Guests for the meeting were
Sherri and Albert Kuhnle. Fol-
lowing refreshments the group
played in the hay.
Time and plce of the next
meeting of the group will be an-
nounced at a later date.

Four Coastguardsmen were in-
jm'ed Saturday night around 12:30
when the car in which they were
riding collided headon with one
driven by LeRoy F. Johnson of Se-
attle on the Soutbshore road.
Injured were James E. Miller,
19, who had cuts on his face and
left knee, Barry Veddar, 18, wl:,
suffered bad cuts on his face and
throat, Irving Reed, 20, a broken
nose and Dehnar Harris also suf-
fered a broken nose..
All of the Coastguardsmen are
now in the Bremerton naval hos-
pital I The auto driven by the sail-
ors was a total loss and the car
driven by Johnson was damaged
to the extent of about $150.

Ida C. Larsen
Passes in Tacoma
Death claimed Mrs. Ida C. Lar-
sen, 84, Tacoma, former Mason
county pioneer, last Thursday in
a Tacoma hospital.
Mrs. Larsen was born in Calu-
met, Mich. and came to Mason
county where she and her hus-
band, Louis L, Lar.qen homestead-
ed near New Kamilche, in 1894.
About 1901 they moved to Oak-
hind BU.y, where Mr. Larsen was a
prominent oystezman for 18 years.
Mrs. Larsen was a charter mem-
ber of the Taconm Zion I:mtheran
church and life member of the
Ladies Aid Society of the ehu'ch.
Funeral services were held at
3 p.m., SatNrday, in the Pipet' Fu-
neral Home, the Rev. Manlev
Gjerde officiating. Burial was in
the Mountain View Memorial
Park.
Survivors include" her four
daughters, Mrs. Alma Sundstrom
Belfair; Mrs. Emma Layton,
Olympia; Mrs. Mabel Ness, Ta-
coma; Mrs. Irene Decker, Puy-
allup; ten grandchildren and 11
great-grandchildren.

ton General Hospital. A resident
of Mason county for over 40
years. Mrs. Crabbenhoft was boru
October 25, 1881, in Keil, Ger-
lllany.
Funeral services will be held at

stone I,'uneral Chapel. The Rev.
Robert Rings will officiate. Music
will be furnished by Mrs. Loui
Larsen. Interment will follow in
Shelton Memorial Park.
