Smoke from forest fires around
the Western United States be- I
gan flowing into Mason County
late last week. Air quality levels
in downtown Shelton, as taken
from a rooftop monitor at Central
Mason Fire and EMS’ station on
West Franklin Street, showed haz-
ardous levels of 2.5 ppm pollution
beginning at 1 am. Friday. They
reached their highest levels at
pm. Monday. The photos were
taken Friday.
