Page A-34 Shelton-Mason County Journal Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020 ‘ Obituaries Katherine Marie Roberson Katherine Marie Roberson age 76, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on September 12, 2020. She leaves behind her other half a sailor by the name of Roy Thompson, loving daughter Alicia Michelle Roberson, brother and sister in-law Travis and Janis Wellbrock, a wonderful grandson, Dylan Chase Bustamante, great grandson Logan Walker Bustamante, step daughter Melanie Thompson, and Mother-in-law ,- cherished friends who became family. She is pre- mother Helen (Broadhurst) Wellbrock and brother Vincent Wellbrock. ‘ Kathy grew up in Norfolk, Virginia where she met Roy and eventually moved to Hoodsport. She became an important part of the community and was employed in several jobs including Douglas Fir Christmas Trees and served for over 20+ years as the Director of the Hood Canal Food Bank. She was a long time member of the Lions Club and helped to serve the annual Veterans dinner. The love, ' hope and support she gave to the community throughout countless hours of service will be greatly missed and near impossible to replace. She loved to help others and cared very deeply for her friends and extended family in the community of Hoodsport and Mason County. Donations 0r cards can be sent to P.O.
