involved had left the scene and
that through a registration check
it had been traced to a Mason
County address.
Sisson said he also related to
the judge pro-tem that
Creekpaum had informed him
that the couple and their
residence had been under
surveillance after information
indicating they were involved
with drugs had been received.
Jett testified he had been a
surveillance officer during the
drug purchase which had occurred
in the Aurora Village Shopping
Center and that he had observed a
young woman driving the vehicle
and that a young boy, who was
involved in the transaction had
entered the car, and was carrying
a brown bag when he left it. The
bag was later confiscated and
found to contain drugs.
The car which the woman was
driving left the area and
information obtained by the
officers from others indicated
about $1,300 in "buy" money
which was involved in the

transaction had been given to her,
Jett testified.
Jet[ told the court he could
identify Mrs. Mietzner as the
woman who was driving the car.
The officer said Whitcomb
had been told a check of the
license number indicated the
registered owner had a Mason
County address and that the two
officers had come here in an
attempt to get the department's
money back.
Hart testified he told
Whitcomb he had been a
surveillance officer in the drug
transaction in Seattle and had
observed the boy who carried the
brown paper sack from the
vehide and had observed the
vehicle.
Creekpaum testified he had
told Whitcomb his office had
information concerning the
couple's involvement in drugs and
that he knew their names and the
type of vehicle they used. He
stated he had told Whitcomb a
residence the couple had formerly
occupied and the one they were
living in on that date had been
under surveillance part of the
time over the previous six months
because of the information his
office had received. He stated
known drug users had been
observed entering and leaving the
residence.
Short contended the search
warrant was based on belief and
suspicion, not on fact. Bufleson
stated it was the contention of the
prosecution that Whitcomb had
sufficient facts presented to him to
find a probable cause to issue the
warrant.
