Theatre group
sets open house
The Fly Loft Players,
formerly Shelton's Little Theatre
group, will have a public open
house at the organization's Fly
Loft Theatre at 305 Euclid.
starting at 7 p.m. ell Thursday,
September 27.
The public is invited to enjoy
the refreshments and
demonstrations of theatre
performances by Fly Loft
members. The group has a charter
from the Boy Scouts of America
for an Explorer post for thealrical
arts. The club will present the
charter to Leroy's Television,
sponsor of the Explorer post, at
the open house.
The Fly Loft Players recently
met for a rehearsal and elected
new officers. Six new members
joined the group at that
September 6 meeting and the
players are still looking for more
performers in a "membership
drive." New officers are president
Robyn Ogden, vice president
Robin Trucksess, and
secretary-treasurer Judy Caulfield.

The Robinettes membership
drive is now under way. Alexis
Kuhr of Shelton has joined the
Robinette Baton Corp as assistant
teacher to Kathy Forsythe. Alexis
will be the twirling instructor to
all beginners and will also be
available to teach private lessons.
The Robinettes are planning
many fund raising projects for the
coming year, to send the junior
and senior corp to national
competition in San Francisco,
California next August.
Officers elected for the new
term are Carole Hanson,
president; Ann Martin, vice
president; Dody White, treasurer;
Glenda Verse, corresponding
secretary; Shirley Richert,
recording secretary. Board of
trustees are Jane White, Nadine
Olmstead is
Marine Lance Corporal
Timothy L. Olmstead, son of Mr.
and Mrs. James W. Smith, Shelton,
was promoted to his present rank
while serving at the Marine Corps
Base in Okinawa.
