How in the world do they I ak they will be able to oversee t. 0st employees that paid fbr their its? Those giving campaign ill ey are the very employees the dismissing, disciplining and ap- proving salaries. The conflict of in- terest is incredible and scary. The school board members are also charged with approving cur- riculum, yet John Campbell has stated he will "not touch" curricu- lum. Well, if John won't, who will do his job for him? His donors? We need strong leadership, not bought and paid-for union lack- I'm voting fbr Ken VanBuskirk, Dr. Glenn Landram and Mr. Dave Kinnee. These three have not tak- en a cent from district employees or union reps. They will be able to maintain a vital independence in their leadership of the North Ma- son School District employees that the others cannot. Lee Swoboda Belfair COMMUNITY GALEN DAR Joan Loomis Allyn resident Joan "Joni" Loo- mis died Monday, September 10, in Allyn. She was 74. She was born December 24, 1932 in Dodge City, Kansas. She worked as a waitress fbr Lennard K's and the Allyn Inn in Allyn. She also had man- aged waitresses at the Blue Sky Restaurant at the Tacoma Air- port. She was a member of the Eagles in Bel- Joan fair. Anderson She loved gardening, animals and enjoyed cooking. She is survived by her longtime companion, John Adams, of Allyn; her sons Ken Loomis and his wife, Toni, of Belfir and Bryon Loomis and his wife, Kaaren, of Bremer- ton; her daughter Lori Gamblin and her husband, Bob, of Twisp; her sister Janice Griffith and her husband, Gary, of Edmonds; her grandchildren Debbie, Anthony and Isaac; and great-grandchil- dren Jeremy, Joshua, Jordan and Anthony.
