"The girls really struggled," Mike Malpass,
head coach, said. "Coming up against teams
that played tough and were very physical was
a struggle."
On Thursday, Sept. 15, the team lost on
the road to Stadium High School 5-0.
"It was a tale of two halves," Malpass said.
"It was 4-0 at the end of the first half but we
stepped up our game in the second half and
matched them in every department. It was a

tell me they listen every night, I believe

McNamera said his visit to the center is
about giving back to the fans.
"If I could brighten someone's day by
talking about the Mariners, I'm up for it,"
he added. "I plan on talking to everybody
about what we're doing with the Mariners
and where the minor league team is head-

long as necessary. I'm open to listening to
new ideas."
McNamera said he loved the Pacific
Northwest when he played in Bellingham
and that he loves that he ended up back
here.
He said he plans on coming back to the
center in the future and that he plans to ask
some Mariners players to come with him.
"Anytime I can get away and talk about
the Mariners it's a good thing," he added.
Ayers said he couldn't thank the Mari-
ners organization enough.
"I'm looking forward to Tom coming back
on the off season," he added.
