Matlock Dinner By DORA HEARING M AT LOCK The Mary M. Knight P.T.O. will have its Harvest dinner for the public this Saturday night Sept. 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. it will be a ham dinner, buffet style. A Moody Science film will be shown again at the Matlock Community Chtlrch at 7 p.m. this Sunday night. There will be special music. Matlock Ladies Club will put on their ttarvest dinner for their club members and families next Sunday at 1 p.m. Matlock Grange held its regular meeting and pot luck supper last Friday night with 16 members attending. Visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Chester Valley from Skokomish Grange. They all enjoyed the slides Valley showed after the meeting. At the next ~'Grange meeting Oct. 2 The first and second degree work will be put on. Mr. and Mrs. tlarold Ellingson of Eugene, Ore, were Thursday evening dinner guests of Mrs. Augusta Portman and Carl Portman. Friday evening Mr. and Mrs. tlerbert Helin had as their dinner guests Mr. and Mrs. ttarold Ellingson of Eugene Ore., Mrs. Augusta Portman, Mrs. Margaret Churchill and Carl Portman. Visitors at the Elvin tlearing home last week were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ellingson of Eugene Ore. Friday, Mrs. James Fredenburg of ttoquiam on Saturday and on Sunday Mrs. Truman Meyer, Mrs. Wayne Evers and Alberta and Roy ot Shelton. Sunday friends and relatives visiting Mrs. Augusta Portman and Carl Portman were Mr. and Mrs. Nick Gronka of Olympia, Mr. and Mrs. Jalmer Auseth of Agate, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Churchill and baby. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Churchill and three children, and Carl Churchill. Mrs. Augusta Portman and Mrs. Margaret Churchill and Carl Portman were dinner guests Monday night of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Townsend of Lake Nahwatzel. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Valley spent Wednesday evening with the Blair Thompson family at Wynoochee. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Valley were Saturday luncheon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Valley of Agate. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rossmaier and sons, James Rossmaier and girls of Olympia, the Larry Chanlberlin family of Port Orchard and the Carl Goodburn family of Shelton were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lud Rossmaier. We are happy to report Archie Kelley was able to come home Sunday after two weeks at the Mason General tlospital. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Smith and lamily were week end guests at the Archie Kelley home. Sunday drop in guests were David Davis of Whiskaw, Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Dolly of Seattle and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Pearsall and son Roy of Shclton. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Crisman of Tacoma were Saturday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Tupper. Sunday drop in guests at tile Tupper home were Mr. and Mrs. Dan Peterson of Aberdeen and Mr. and Mrs. Ed tleller and l)on Griffin.
