Harlen Calvin Bogar was born on Sept. 13, 2012,
to Ryan Leigh Bogar and Caleb Alan Bogar of Elma.
He weighed 8 pounds, 14 ounces.

Aliceyn Dalylah Brown was born on Sept. 8, 20i2,'~
to Tiffany May Zoller and Daniel Charles Brown of
Olympia. She weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces.

The bride-to-be's parents are Larry and Jan
Hughes of Auburn and Candi and Richard Myer of
Henderson, Nev.
The groom-to-be's parents are Fred and Sherry
Greenhalgh of Shelton.
The wedding will take place at 4 p.m. on Oct. 11
in Allyn. The double-ring ceremony will be officiated
by Rev. Curti~ Bidwell.
The maid of honor will be Cindy Bennett. The
best men will be Brian Deyette and Billy Surpre-
nant. The flower girl will be Madeline Hughes.
Music at the reception will be provided by DJ
Jake. The reception will take place at 6 p.m. at the
40 e~ 8 club. The couple would like ~o thank Brent.
Chris, Michelle and all of their friends for making
the day great.
The bride-to-be graduated from Auburn High
School in 1986. She is employed at the Pine Tree
Restaurant and Lounge.
The groom-to-be graduated from Shelton High
School in 1985. He also works at the Pine Tree.
The couple are planning a destination wedding
trip to Leavenworth from Oct. 15-19. The couple will
reside in Shelton.

Olympic Resource Management. a Pope Resourc-
es Company, has temporarily closed all recreational
access to all its Hood Canal Tree Farm properties
in Jefferson, Kitsap, and Mason counties. The clo-
sure will remain in effect until significant rainfall

ORM officials said they regret the inconvenience
to those who enjoy and respect the proper~y; how-
ever the dry conditions make for extreme fire haz-
ard conditions and threaten private and public re-
sources.
Pope Resources owns and manages nearly 71,000
acres of forestland on its Hood Canal Tree Farm in
Kitsap, Mason and Jefferson counties.

Clyde Jacobsen
Clyde Davis Jacobsen
died on Sept. 11, 2012.
He was born in
Bremerton in 1955 to
John and Alma Jacobsen.
He graduated from
North Mason High School
in 1973.
~ He was
married
twice.
He
drove a
truck for
the Salva-
tion Army
and tow
trucks for
Clyde various
Jacobsen compa-
nies. He
volun-
teered for South Kitsap
Fire and Rescue with his
twin sister's Home Safety
Crew, installing free
smoke alarms.
His family shared
that he was an excellent
handyman and could
fix just about anything.
They also said he was an
incorrigible prankster
and had a deep affection
for animals, especially
frogs.
He attended Grace
Community Fellowship in
Port Orchard.
He is survived by his
father John: twin sister
Kristi Booth; daughters
Andrea Hatton, Angelica
Schlehr: son Johnny C.
Jacobsen and nine grand-
children.
He was preceded in
death by his mother Alma
and sister Heidi Kelly.

She was born on June
18, 1921, in Cleveland,
Okla.,

Bailey.

Oklahoma
and mar-
ried Roy
Barbara Smith on
Smith Sept. 4,
1938, in
Chandler.
Okla.
Barbara was a home-
maker and a foster
mother for four years,
tending to more than
40 children. She also
taught airbrushing of
ceramics for a short
time.
As a teenager, she
studied with the Salva-
tion Army. After mar-
riage, she and her hus-
band moved to Califor-
nia. In 2005, she moved
~o Shelton to be closer to
her grandchildren. Her
hobbies included painting
(in all mediums), photog-
raphy, jewelry making
and crafting. Her family
said that she liked large
farm animals and playing
the organ, and enjoyed
spending time with her
family and grandchil-
dren.
She is surwved by
daughter Chelle Williams
of Shelton: sons Jim
Smith of Grants Pass.
Ore., Richard Smith (De-
nise) of Laveen, Ariz.,
and Gerald Smith (Marie)
of Paradise, Calif.; and
15 grandchildren, numer-
ous great-grandchildren,
great-great-grandchil-
dren. aunts, uncles and
cousins.
She was preceded in
death by her husband
Roy.
A service will take
place at noon on Oct. 6 at
Hope Chapel in Shelton.
Arrangements are under
the direction of McComb
Funeral Home of Shelton.
