State recovered. This put an end
to Krumpols until UPS regained
control of tile ball again from a
punt. Krumpols then came back
in and ran around the end of the
first play for a gain of seven
yards.
The next play Ray attempted
to pass the ball but it fell short of
its destination. On the third down
Ray ran around the end for four
yards and a first down. The next
series of plays turned out a little
different for the home town boy
as he was caught in the backfield
with the ball in his hands and a
Lumberjack hit him causing him
to fumble the ball. Fortunately,
Ray got back onto his feet and
recovered his own fumble.
Tile final score of the game
was UPS 48, ltumboldt State 14.
This was the first time UPS has
been able to defeat the
Lumberjacks in three attempts.
This coming Saturday UPS
versus the U.S. International
University from San Diego at
Baker Stadium on the UPS
campus at 1 : 30.
