Knight, 7 p.m. PREP BOUNDUP Volleyball North Mason The North Mason volleyball team split two matches last week, defeating Sequim in four sets Oct. 1 in Belfair and dropping a straight-set decision to North Kitsap Oct. 3 in Poulsbo. Against the Wolves, senior outside hitter Hallie Hicks had a 24-kill, 26- dig effort to lead the Bulldogs, While Hannah Fredrickson had eight kills, 21 digs and five aces. Junior middle blocker Morgan Shumaker had 10 kills and three blocks for North Mason. The loss to the Vikings was the Bulldogs’ first in league play. The Bulldogs entered this week 5-1 in Olympic League action, 7—4 overall. a.m. Sheflon' The Shelton High School volleyball team dropped two road matches last week, falling in straight sets on Oct. 1 in Olympia to capital and Oct. 3 in Silverdale to Central Kitsap. The Highclimbers are 0—7 in South Sound Conference, 7—8 overall, and don’t play this week due to a league- wide bye. Mary Knight The Mary M. Knight High School volleyball team defeated Crescent in straight sets Oct. 1 in Matlock and fell in a five-set match against Taholah on Oct. 3 in Matlock to move to 4-6. Boys tennis Sheflon The Shelton High School boys ten- nis team dropped a 3—2 decision to Timberline Oct. 1 in Shelton. Shelton senior Jonah Perry im- proved to 7-1 in singles play and Bren- dan Wagner earned a singles win in the match. Girls soccer North Mason The North Mason High School girls soccer team rode a 10-minute hat trick from Sophie Green to a 3-1 win over Sequim on Oct. 1 at Phil Pugh Stadi- um in Belfair, then dropped a 2-1 deci- sion to North Kitsap Oct. 3 in Poulsbo. Girls swimming Shekon The Shelton High School girls swim team had 15 individual personal re- cords in a 132-47 loss Oct. 2 in Silver- dale to Central Kitsap. Girls bowling Shekon The Shelton High School girls bowling team begins practice at 2:30 Nov. 4. The team is open to bowlers in grades 9 through 12.
