WHEREAS, by reason of conditions
which could not be reasonably foreseen at
the time of making the budget for the year
2007, it is necessary to make provisions for
supplemental appropriations and budget
transfers to the 2007 Budget as authorized
by RCW 36.40.100 and RCW 36.40.195 for
the following:
Supplemental appropriations to the Plan-
ning Department Budget for unanticipated
grant revenue from WA State Dept of Ecolo
gy (DOE) for professional services; a supple-
mental appropriation from the Mason County
Rural County Sales & Use Tax (.09) Fund to
the Rustlewood Sewer Utility Fund for sewer
treatment plant improvements; and an ad-
ditional operating transfer from the Current
Expense Fund to the Sheriff's Boating Fund
to transfer the remaining 2006 cash balance
in the Boating Program from the Current Ex-
pense Fund to the new Boating Fund.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BYTHE
Board of Mason County Commissioners:
That the 23rd of October 2007 at the hour
of 6:30 PM in the Mason County Commis-
sioners Chambers in Courthouse Building I.
411 North Fifth Street, Shelton, Washington,
is hereby fixed as the time and place for a
public hearing upon the matter of supple-

second place in the "best short personality
profile" category of the Washington Newspaper
Publishers Association's 2007 Better Newspaper
Contest. Rebecca's award for "Still going strong
after 70 years," her What's Cookin' feature about
Chuck and Lenore Gregg and their 70-year
marriage, was announced at last weekend's
120th annual WNPA convention in Yakima.
The contest judge said, "This is how special
anniversaries should be handled in newspapers.
