We're open bright
and earliest.*
On workdays, we have the earliest
hours in town. We open at 8 a.m.
Monday through Friday. And we're the
only Shelton auto parts store that does.
That may not excite you right now.
But when you're on your way to work
one morning and your car won't purr --
remember, Western Parts is open at 8.
Because we like being first.

The Highclimber
cross-country harriers, paced by
Frances Nelson's first in tJle gids'
division and a somewhat
uncustomary showing by the top
boys, threw a scare at Chehalis
last week in a triangular meet at
Timberline.
Chehalis won - but only by
three points in each of the
varsity races.
Senior Nelson won going
away in her best showing this
year - and that was no surprise
to her coach. "She's looking real
strong," said Pete Janda.
However, for the first time
this year, Climber ace Jeff Likes
came in on tlre heels of a
teammate. Fellow junior Steve
Robinson, consistently number
two for the Climbers this fall,
took second overall to Jeff's
ttfird.
"Steve ran a very flue race,"
said his coach this week.
"Incidenrally, though, we had a
challenge race here yesterday and
Jeff really ran away from
everybody to reclaim high
number one standing."
Janda was also especially
pleased with the performance of
senior Bill Bogs, sixth in file
varsity heat and third among the
Climbers. "That was Bill's best
race, too," he said.
As they've done at every
meet so fat', the Climber jayvees
outran everyone to claim the top
honors.
