Dee Williamson
High School Spotlight
Spotlighted Senior of the
Week is Dee Williamson, the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Junior
Williamson.
Her studies include civics,
advanced typing, psychology,
senior English, drama and
advanced drama, the latter of
which is most decidedly her
favorite subject.
She plans a career, however,
in the medical field; and after
graduation she will enroll in
Spokane Community College to
further her education in this
direction.
Born in Stayton, Ore. on July
17, 1953, Dee Williamson came
with her family to Shelton and
enrolled in high school as a
sophomore, during which year she
was a senator and a member of
the German Club. As a junior she
was a Pep Staff member and
participated in Children's Theater.
She is this year a member of the
Thespians; she is a senator and
a pep staff member and very active
in drama productions.
She spends much of her free
time in hiking, and enjoys it
tremendously. She likes to water
ski. She has a part-time job at the
Yacht Club
To Install
New Officers
New officers to be installed at
the November 5 meeting of the
Yacht Club are Clint Willour,
Commodore; Chet Glandon,
Vice-Commodore; Robert Myers,
Rear Commodore; Robert
Watson, treasurer; Elsie Glandon,
secretary; and Dave Little, new
board member.
The business meeting at 8
p.m. will be preceded by a 6 p.m.
potluck dinner and a social hour
in the clubhouse.

Dee has an older sister,
Cecelia, who is married and makes
her home in Texas.

In Hoodsport
Lucienne Quintiliani of
Arlington, Virginia and Steven D.
Grout of Union were married
October 7 at the Hood Canal
Church in Hoodsport. Reverend
Wesley Gaines performed the
ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. David Duncan of
Newcastle, Penn. She was
employed as a secretary in the
offices of the Western Hemisphere
Division of the Joint Chiefs of
Staff in Washington, D.C.
The groom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Curtis Grout of Union,
Washington. He attended Olympic
College for two years prior to
enlisting in the Army Security
Agency. He was discharged from
the service in August after
completing four years of service.
He is now a cadet in the
Washington State Patrol and is
stationed at Kelso.
Republican Women
To Meet Tuesday
The Mason County Women's
Republican Club will hold their
regular meeting at 11 a.m.
Tuesday at 421 No. 1st St., the
Republican Headquarters
Building.
Members should bring a sack
lunch for a work party. Card
tables and chairs are needed. For

Anniversary
Party Planned
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon P.
Squire of Belfair will celebrate
their 25th wedding anniversary
Sunday with an open house
reception at their home from 2
p.m. to 5 p.m. Children of the
couple will host the event.
The Gordon Squires were
married October 5, 1945 by the
Mayor of Pomeroy, Ohio. They
have been residents of Belfair
since 1951.
A native of Washington,
Gordon Squire enlisted in the
Navy in 1941 and after serving his
enlistment term he joined the
Coast Guard where he is still
active in the reserves. He is
employed by the Puget Sound
Naval Shipyard as a shop 38
machinist foreman.
Mrs. Squire, f~rmerly Betty
Ullum, was born and raised in
Parkersburg, W. Va. As a hobby,
she enjoys bowling.
The couple has five children
Mike, 23; Karen, 20, now
married; Richard, 18; Jim, 14, a
freshman; and Debbie, 13, an
eighth grader. They have one
grandson, Jerry Riggs, Jr.

Drug Display
"I've seen many of them and
this is the very best", comments
Karl Eaton concerning the drug
display to be explained to the
Evergreen PTA when they meet at
7:30 p.m. next Thursday in the
school.
The drugs, confiscated in
Mason County by the Mason
County Sheriff's Department,
were on display at the Mason
County Fair. Sgt. Jim Sisson will
narrate. Fifth and sixth graders
will be shown the display during
the afternoon hours.
Art work by kindergarten,
first graders and second graders
will be viewed.
