Page A-34 Shelton-Mason County Journal - Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020 Obituaries Daniel Joseph Krafcik \ Daniel “Danny” Joseph‘ Krafcik, 31, of Shelton, Washington, died September 20, 2020, unexpected- ly in a tragic accident. He was born March 11., 1989, in St. Petersburg, Florida, the son of Terrence Hugh Krafcik, Sr. and Charlotte Irene Krafcik (Bill Ste- vens). He attended schools in Crystal River, Florida and Shelton, Washington. Danny graduated from Shelton High School in 2007, where he was a mem- ber of the swim team and was a lifeguard. Danny was also a member of the Young Marines, where he assisted in numerous community projects to include parades and storm preparations. At the time of his death, he was employed with Conden-Johnson and Associates as a Construction Laborer and a member of the Local-242 Labors Union. Danny was an ex- tremely hard worker and loved his job. Danny lived for his family, friends, fellow neigh- . bor’s and adventure. Danny always, said “it took mom 9 tries to make the best one”. He was the first man to offer support to those in need nomatter the circumstances. He had a love for hiking, kayaking, music festivals and animals. Danny’s silliness, smile and love shined through and left a lifetime mark on those who met him. In addition to his parents, Danny is survived by his wife Caleen (Cavenaugh) Krafcik of Shelton, where they lived and enjoyed an adventurous fifteen years together in Shelton. Also, daughter Tessa F. Baker—Krafcik of Shelton; his brothers, Christopher L. Cook (Tammy), Keith P. Cook (Tracy), Terrence H. Krafcik (Jasmine), Matthew R. Krafcik (Kelsey), Nathaniel A. Krafcik, and sisters; Heather D. Green (Darren), Lisa M. Krafcik (Michael), Amber D. Downs (Christopher), and Shannon R. Johnson (Nova). He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to Caleen Krafcik at 6749 Riverdale Drive SE, Olympia, Washington, 98501. Due to KCOVID-IQ concerns, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. nzzéspt I git-{HM 360.426.4803 Trent Goos 1 Trent Reed Goos died on Sunday, October 4th, 2020, after a morning spent fishing. He was 52 years old. Trent was born on November 17, 1967, in Shel- ton, to Ronald and Sue Goos. Trent grew up in Hoodsport, attending Hood Canal School and grad— uating from Shelton High School in 1986. Growing up, he was active in baseball and Boy Scouts. In High School, he developed a passion for carpentry. a His seniOr year, his carpentry class built a house in 5" Shelton. Trent spent most of his career in the logging in- dustry. He will be remembered for living life as he / wanted, his spit-fire personality, his big smile, and '1‘ his outrageous stories that kept his family laugh- ing. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding dirt bikes, and hanging out with his pet dogs. Trent is survived by his sister Teresa (Karl) Miller, his brother TJ (Jen- ny) Goos, his son Brayden Schoening-Goos, daughter Ashley Goos, grandson Liam, granddaughter Aria, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Ron Goos, mother Sue Goos, sister Tamara Goos, and brother Troy Goos. Arrangements are by McComb and Wagner Funeral Home. A small family gathering will be held, with a larger service planned for a later date. \ l , \ Corrie Johanna Brocx Corrie Johanna Brocx (Haase) age 84, passed away of natural causes on October 1, 2020. She was a resident of Shelton for 50 years. Corrie was born February 5, 1936 in Blitar, Indonesia. Corrie married Richard Brocx on April 5, 1960, in Ter Heyde An Zee, Netherlands. She was a school teacher, and attended the United Methodist Church of Shelton. . Corrie is survived by husband Richard Brocx of Shelton, WA, and five sons; David Brocx of Springdale, WA, Robert Brocx of Black Diamond, WA, Ray Brocx of Adamsville, TN and Ken Brocx of Lakeway, TX. k There will no service. K Ronald Paul Moon \ Ronald Paul Moon, age 85, a resident of Mason Lake and former resident of Hoquiam, died on Sun- day, October 11, 2020, in Allyn, Washington. Mr. Moon was born on June 1, 1935, in Spokane, Wash-‘ ington. He joined the United States Coast Guard at the age of 17 and served during the Korean conflict from 1951 to 1955. Upon his discharge, he came to Hoquiam where he drove log truck until 1966, when he joined the Carpenters Union. He established his own business in 1974 (Ron Moon Construction) and also worked for Quigg Brothers and Rognlin’s Construction, re- tiring in 1997. ' On June 15, 1972, he and Janice Schaben Grif- fin were married at the United Christian Church in Aberdeen, where he was active as a choir member and a member of several men’s groups. He was also a life member of the Hoquiam Elks, the Hoquiam VFW and the Hoquiam, then Aberdeen and Elma Eagles lodges. He had served as the president of Paradise Service Associates (the homeowners association at Ma- son Lake) the Hoquiam City Council and the Grays Harbor Board of Equal- ization. .Mr. Moon was involved in numerous pool leagues, loved music and dancing. Surviving relatives include his wife, Janice of the family home; one son Larry Moon; a daughter, Janna Cassidy; and numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daugh- ter, Roxanna L. Pruett and a sister Elsie Lee Hassebrock. Visitation will be at the Coleman Mortuary on Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:30 AM on Fri- day, October 16, 2020, at Hoquiam’s Sunset Memorial Park. .
