A fire caused $30,000 in damage to a
singlewide mobile home Monday.
Shorecrest fire destroys
vacant mobile home
STAFF REPORT
Central Mason Fire & EMS responded to a struc-
ture fire at 10:56 p.m. on Monday on East Ham-
mond Place in Shorecrest.
When crews arrived, they found a singlewide
mobile home with additions that was 50 percent
involved.
The home was abandoned and vacant at the time
of the fire.
The fire crews' initial efforts were hampered by
a PUD 3 service line arcing because of the fire, and
blocking access to the road.
The crews worked around the arcing power lines
and aggressively fought the fire from the exterior of
the building.
Central Mason Fire responded with four engines,
two medic units and command staff. No other fire
districts responded.
The loss is estimated to be $30.000 and the fire
was determined to be unintentional after an mves-
tigation.

SEX OFFENDER INFORMATION BULLETIN - WHEREABOUTS UNKNOWN
LEVEL 3 NOTIFICATION OF ABSCONDED SEX OFFENDER
Date: October 15, 2012 Prepared by: Detective William Adam Bulletin#: 12-41
The Mason County Sheriff's O flice is releasing the lbllowing information pursuant to RCW 4.24.550 and the Washington Slate Supreme
Count decision in State v. Ward, which attthorizes law enlbrcement agencies to inform the punic of a sex offenders release when: in the
discretion of the agency, the release of in rormation will enhance public safety and protection. The individual who appears on this notification
has been convicted or a sex offense that requires registration 'with the Sheriff's Office in the county of'their residence. Further, their previous
criminal history places them in a classification level which reflects the potential to re-or(end. This sex offender has served the sentence
imposed on him by the courts and has advised the Mason County Sheriff's Office that he will be living in the location beloW. ANGE1LO
RIVERA IS WANTED BY THE POLICE[ THIS NOTIFICATION IS NOT INTENDED TO INCREASE FEAR, RATHER, IT IS
OUR BELIEF THAT AN INFORMED PUBLIC IS A SAFER PUBLIC. The Mason County Sheriff's O fiice has no legal authofity to
direct where a sex offender may or may not live. Unless court ordered restrictions exist, this offender is constitutionally free to live wherever
he chooses. Sex offenders have always lived in oor comnmnities, but it wasn'l until passage of the Community Protection Act of 1990
(Which mcmdates sex often(let r(;gL~lration) that law enlbrcement even knew where they were living, In many cases, law entbrcement is now
able to share daat information wida yon. Citizen abuse of this inlbrmation to threaten, intimidate or harass registered sex offenders will not be
tolerated. Further, such abuse could potentially end law enforeement's ability to do community notitlcations. We believe tim only person
who wins if community noti fiealion ends is the sex offender, since sex offenders derive their power througla secrecy.
If you have any information regarding current criminal activity of this or any other offender, please call 91 I.
