offering training
Sound Learning will offer upcoming tutor
trainings and orientation for new English for
Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) tutors on
the following dates:
• 6-9 p.m., Friday
• 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday
Participants will learn hands-on techniques
that will facilitate student learning, Sound
Learning Outreach Coordinator Tracy Moore
said.
"The trainings are dynamic and lead to tutor-
ing sessions that are engaging and relevant to the
adults in the program," Moore said.
The training is mandatory for students to be
placed with students. •
Individuals interested in tutoring or other vol-
unteer opportunities with Sound Learning can
contact Moore at 133 W. Railroad Ave., Shelton,

young kitten. She had a
rough start, and now is ready

able to care for him. He is
approximately 3 years old

rier mix. Chachi has been
learning his basic obedi-
