Female biker group
helps Mason General
The Warrior Angel Riders, a Taco—
ma—based women’s motorcycle group,
donated $2,000 to the Mason Gen-
eral Hospital Foundation through the
Foundation’s annual Bikers for Babies
fundraiser.
The group presented a check Oct. 8
at the hospital.
This is the first year the Warrior
Angel Riders have hosted the Bikers
for Babies fundraiser, with a poker
run Aug." in Pierce and Thurston
counties.
said in a news release. “Warrior Angel
Riders is proud to support this fund-
raiser and we are excited to do it again
next year.”
The money raised from Bikers for
Babies will benefit the Birth Center at
Mason General Hospital, with the pur-
chase of three new types of equipment:
new Stryker LD304_ birthing beds; a
new Intellivue MX400 transpOrtable
cardiac monitor to track a baby’s heart
rate, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate
and‘blood pressure; and a new Intelli-
vue MX100 portable stand-alone moni-
tor for on-the—go patient monitoring.
The Sierra Pacific Industries Foun-
dation also donated $2,500 to Bikers for
Babies with money raised from its Jack
Stark Invitational golf tournament.

In an effort to accurately demonstrate the incredible performance of
these devices, specially trained representatives will be conducting
testing and demonstrations during this special event. In addition
to an audiometric hearing evaluation, candidates will receive ,a
fiber-optic otoscope exam, a painless procedure that could reveal
common hearing problems such as excessive wax or damage to the
eardrum, as well as other common causes of hearing deficiencies.
