I The Shelton City Council on Tues- day evening awarded the money col- lected from hotel and motel lodging taxes. ‘ _ Each year, the city’s Lodging Tax Advisory Committee recommends how the city allocates the money. This year, seven organizations asked for $96,959. The committee recommended granting $6,300 to Kristmas Town Kiwanis for Bluegrass from the For- est; $8,910 to the Mason County Forest Festival Association; $11,250 to the Mason County Historical Museum and Visitor Center; $1,782 to the Mason County Historical So- ciety for its annual downtown car $3,307 to the chamber and the state Department of Transportation Sig- nage Project.
