A celebration of life will be held Family members and friends mourn the 'recent passing of Charles Rollan White, a long time resi- dent of Shelton, Washington. Charles, 93, passed on October 13, at his home in Midvale, Idaho. He was born on June 4, 1927, to Lee Bryan and Dortha E. White in Lam- bert, Oklahoma, the youngest of four children, three boys and one girl. He lived there until he was 10, when his family moved to McCleary, Washing- ton. Charles attended McCleary grade school and then Elma High School. He went on to work at pulp mills in McCleary and Shelton before starting his own contract logging business. , On- November 5, 1946, Charles married Lor- raine Delores Mitchell in Shelton, Washington, and they were married for years before he lost her to cancer. They enjoyed hiking, fishing, camping, and traveling throughout the south in their motor home. Mr. White has always been admired for his strong work ethic, honesty and integrity. His love for hunting, fishing, the great outdoors, as well as his love for his wife and family, were always foremost in his life. She loved calling Shelton her home and sharing her life with her partner, Ross, who passed last year. The many animals she fed and watched in her yard over a cup of coffee was her sanctuary. And she loved us all deeply. The family sends a heartfelt thank you to her friends in Shelton that blessed her life for so many years.
