PREP ROUNDUP Shehon Cross country- Shelton senior Lily Bennett finished second as the girls fin- ished third as a team at the Ever- green Conference championship cross country race at Borst Park in Centralia. Bennett “completed the race in 20 minutes, 46 seconds. Sophomore Madison Lohmeyer finished sev— enth in 22:26 and first-year student Alisha Carpenter finished 14th in 24:07. First—year student Anna Mill- er placed 3lst and Liv Rasmussen placed 32nd. Aberdeen first-year student Mia Hallak won the race in 20:40 and Tumwater won the girls team title. In the boys race, senior Carson Bursch placed third in 17:26 to lead the Highclimbers to a third-place team finish. Senior Richard Beckman finished 21st in 19:25, sophomore Trayson Bartholomew finished 22nd in 19:29 and junior Jack Parker finished 23rd in 19:50. Sophomore Caleb Hensrude placed 33rd. Aberdeen junior Henry Nelson won the race in 17:19 and Tumwater won the boys team title. Shelton (340-1, 2-8) traveled to Aberdeen on Tuesday for a confer- ence match and hosts Black Hills at 7 p.m. today on Senior Night at Jack Stark Field in Shelton. Girls swimming The Shelton girls swim team earned a 101-73 win against Tumwa‘ ter in an Evergreen Conference meet Oct. 19 at the Shelton High School pool. Senior Kaylin Mutoli won the 200~yard freestyle in 2 minutes, 6 seconds and won the 500—yard free— style. Senior Lelia Ollenburg won the ZOO-yard individual medley in 2:25.61 and the 100-yard butterfly in 1:04.44. Senior Madeline Allred won the 50~yard freestyle in 26.81 and the 100—yard freestyle in 1:01.46. The Shelton 4x200—yard free- style relay team of Abbi Sachs, Allred, Mutoli and Ollenburg won in 1:49.84. Shelton’s 4x400 yard free- style relay team of Ollenburg, Muto- li, Allred and Sachs won in 4:16.83. Shelton competed in the final league match against Aberdeen on Tuesday. Football North Mason lost to Olympic 52—8 in an Olympic League football game on Oct. 20 on senior night in Belfair. The Bulldogs lost to Bremerton 6—0 on Oct. 17 in Bremerton. North Mason (4~11, 2-11) wrapped up the regular season on Tuesday on the road against Kingston in a league match. VoHeybaH North Mason volleyball earned a 3-0 win against Bremerton on Oct. 17 in Bremerton in an Olympic League match. Junior setter Kalli ‘ Wynn had six aces, 14 assists and three digs. Sophomore Mari Morris had two aces, four kills and three digs and senior outside hitter Alba Petrucci recorded five digs and six digs. The Bulldogs lost to Olympic 3-0 (22-25, 21—25, 20-25) on Oct. 19 in v Belfair.
