A m e r i c a n s. Sarah Newman, D•C.
Because it persists even after healing has
occurred, chronic pain is widely regarded
as a disease with known changes in
nerves that worsen over time. Because
chronic pain can impede function
and life enjoyment, it is important to
manage it. Unfortunately, about half of
those afflicted with chronic pain receive
no treatment• Among those who do,
close to five million Americans report
taking prescription pain medication in
potentially unsafe ways. In contrast,
chiropractic is a non-invasive, drugless
treatment that may help relieve chronic
pain by improving flexibility and
restoring proper flow of nerve energy.
Millions of people lead healthier and
happier lives, free from chronic pain,
simply because they have discovered
chiropractic care. Study after study
confirms that professional chiropractic
care works. At NEWMAN FAMILY
CHIROPRACTIC, we believe a proper
chiropractic spinal analysis and spinal
adjustment are essential to your good
health. For gentle and safe, drug-free
chiropractic care, we invite you to call
us at 360.426.3886 to schedule an
appointment. We're located at 2211
Jefferson St., where we're currently
accepting new patients.
P.S. Chiropractic treatment may
help address the source of pain by
pinpointing its location and tracking its
movement.

This last summer an abandoned kitten was found on
the South Shore of Hood Canal. Lost and scared, Nova was
brought to Kitten Rescue. With soft white fur, her green
and blue eyes sparkle as she plays and receives loving at-
tention from volunteers and visitors. Nova hopes for a spe-
cial home of her own. Her affectionate purrs are hard to re-
sist. She would prefer to be an only kitty with a windowsill
to lie on. daily food. a warm safe bed and a special person
to snuggle with. She is hoping it is her turn for a forever
home. For information on Nova and other indoor-only kit-
ties call 584-0594 or leave a message at 426-2455.
