Brockdale Road By EMILY HANSON Four Shelton seniors said goodbye to the net during the Lady Highclimbers final game on Wednesday, Oct. 19. Seniors Miranda Armga, Caitlyn Ernst and Lolly Jones played their last games while manager Derek Larson helped head coach Steve Beck for the last time. Ernst and Jones both played on varsity for their three years at SHS while Armga played on varsity her sophomore year and for half of her senior year. Beck said that Larson has been assisting him four the last four seasons and was also a volleyball manager when he was in eighth grade. For their final seasons, the girls put up some impressive stats: Jones scored 82 kills, 26 aces and dug 79 times; Ernst pounded 65 kills, aced 25 times and hit 59 digs and Ar- mga, in only half the season, scored seven kills, seven aces and 35 digs. "These three girls will be missed," Beck said. "Great leadership was shown by Jones and Ernst all year long."
