The Board of Directors of the
new National Bank .of Mason
County represents, in good meas-
ure, a broad background in the
business community. Nearly every
type of major industry that is im-
portant to the Shelton-Mason
County at~a is represented on the
board. This excellent representa-
tion is one of the primary fac-
tors considered by the Comptrol-
ler of the Currency in making his
determination as to whether or
not the new bank could be suc-
cessful.
In a statement made this week
Chairman of tim Board, Allen J.
LaBissoniere stated, "Every ef-
fort has been made to obtain a
board of directors possessing sound
business judgment in the many
economic fields that are import-
ant to Mason County.' We feel
that we have accomplished this
Foal in a most satisfactory man-
her."
A brief biography of each of
the directors points out clearly
how well that objective has been
accomplished.
President R. W. Cottrell started
his career in the commercial bank-
ing business in 1947. He has held
various positions of responsibility
in that field since that time. He
state educational System and holds
several American Institute of
Banking certificates. He has been
active tn the National Association
of Bank Auditors and Comptrol-
lers, the American Institute of
Banking and the National Assoc-:
ia~.ion of Realtors. He is also an
i active pai'ticipant in the Brother-
hood of St. Andrew. Cottrell is
married and has four children.
Board Chairman A. J. LaBis-
soniere is presently the owner of
the LaBissoniere Agency, a real
estate and ~surance firm in Shel-
ton. He is a member of the Shelton
Civil Service Commission and a
former member of the Executive
Committee of the Mason County
Federal Credit Union. A resident
of Shelton since 1926, he is mar-
rled and has one son.
Vice President Edwin W. Tay-
lor is active in real estate and
timber. He presently serves as a
PUD Commissioner and is a mem-
ber of the Mason County Phm-
ning Commission. Fie is a mem-
ber of the Masonic Lodge, Order
of the Eastern Star and the Po-
mona Grange.
Board Secretary, Robert Kimbel
is a product of the Washington He has served as Chairman
the Mason County Board of Edu-
cation and is a past State Presi-
dent of the Washington Associa-
tion for Retarded Children. He is
a member of the American Legion,
Veteran of Foreign Wars, Rotary
Club and the Masonic Lodge. A
lifetime resident of Mason County,
he is married and has three child-
ren.
MELVIN O. MeGUIRE is a Cer-
tiffed Public Accountant. He is
active in the Washington Society
of Certified Public Acountants, as
well as the American Institute of
CPA's. McGuire's background also
includes over 14 years with the
Internal Revenue Bureau. He is
a member of the Shelton Rotary
Club and the Methodist Chm'ch. He
has maintained his offices in Shel-
ton since 1958. He is married and
has three children.
Mrs. Carol L. Jones has had
banking experience with the Puget
Sound National Bauk in Tacoma,
as well as public relations and
advertising experience. Originally
from Shelton, she now lives in Ta-
coma with her husband and tWO
children.
Laurence Bedell, a Mason Coun-
ty resident for 18 years, is the

the owner of the Evergreen Fuel
Company. He is active in the Fu-
ture Farmers of America organi-
zation and serves as a member of
the Mason County Board for

is a member of the Masonic Lodge
and the Methodist Church. Bedeli
is married and has one daughter.
Oliver J. Ashford is presently
serving in the capacity of Simpson
Power Operations Manager. A res-
ident of Mason Cotmty for 23
years, he has served 12 of those
years as a member of the Shelton
School Board, is a past plesident
of the Shelton Kiwanis Club and
at the present time is a Port Dis-
trict Commissioner. lie is married
and has three children.
Robert M. Slettedahl is the Gen-
eral Manager of the Lumbermens
Mercantile Company and Presi-
dent of the Slettedahl Investment
Co. Prior to moving to Union in
1962, most of Slettedabl's back-
g'roufid has been in the lumber
and fuel business. He is married
and has four children.
