Notice of Meeting of the Mason County
Board of Equalization Notice is hereby
given that the Mason County Board of
Equalization will convene at 10:00 am.
on Thursday, November 12, 2020 and will
continue in session and adjourn from time
to time for a period of not less than three
(3) days and not to exceed twenty-eight
(28) days. Additional meetings -will be
held on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 and
Wednesday, November 25, 2020. Regular
meetings typically will be held on Tues—
days, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and at
other times as required, to publicly exam-
ine and equalize the assessments extend-
ed in the current year on the taxable prop-
erty of said county, for taxes to be levied in
the year 2021 and to correct all errors in
valuation, description or qualities of prop-
erty assessed by the assessor. The owner
or agent of any taxable property who feels
there are inequities in their assessment or
exemptions may file a petition and appear
before the board at the time and place ap—

Mason County Public Works Request
for Proposal Solid Waste Drop Box Haul-
ing/Recycle Materials Collection and Mar—
keting Mason County is currently request-
ing proposals for Drop Box Hauling and
Recycling Materials Collection and Market-
ing services at each of the County’s facility
sites outlined in the Request for Proposal.
Based on the evaluation of each proposal,
the County will enter into negotiations with
a preferred Contractor. Selection Process
.and schedule: The cost and the schedule
availability are important considerations
in the process of selecting a Contractor,
but not the only considerations. Other fac-
tors include: responsiveness to the RFP
qualifications, compatibility with existing
facilities, outline of intended data report-
ing procedures for boxes collected, iden—
tification and understanding of the Coun-
ty’s requirements as embodied within this
RFP,-and relevant experience of your firm
in performing similar work. The Contrac—
tor shall provide all equipment, materials,
supplies, and labor to successfully carry
out the requirements of these services as
outlined in the RFP. Washington State Pre-
vailing wages are not required to be paid
for this service. All other state laws, rules
and regulations are required to be met. It is
estimated that the consideration of‘qualifi-
cations and selection will be complete by
January 11,, 2021 and the negotiation of
the contract for services will be complete
by January 22, 2021. County Commission—
ers are required to hold a public hearing
to approve the contract with the selected
vendor that will be held after negotiations.
The initial Agreement will be for a period
of 36 months —- to begin on March 1, 2021

Service Agreement may be negotiated, at
the County’s discretion, for an additional
period. The County reserves the right to re-
ject all proposals, for any reason, or issue

access to the Request for Proposals is pro—
,vided to Vendors by going to www.bxwa.
com and clicking on “Posted Projects”,
“Public Works”, and “Mason County”. This
online plan room provides Bidders with ful-

plan sets from numerous reprographic
sources, and a free online digitizer/take-
off tool. It is recommended that Bidders
. “Register” in order to receive automatic e-
mail notification of future addenda and to
place themselves on the “Self-Registered
Bidders List". Bidders that do not register
will not be automatically notified of adden-
da and will need to periodically check the
