Two Flee Break-In Try
When Officers Arrive
Shelton Police are continuing
their investigation of an
attempted burglary of Saeger
Motor Shop Saturday night.
Two men were interupted by
an officer as they came out of the
building.
The officer had gone to the
building after receiving a report
someone was inside. As he went
around the building, he observed
the two leaving.
They fled on foot, and
officers, with the assistance of
Mason County Sheriff's deputies,
were unable to find them.
Officers said entry had been
gained to the building by
removing a section of the roof
and dropping down into the
bu[l(ling.
Several power saws, a battery
charger and an electric wrench
were found just outside the door
where the two fled from the
officer who first arrived at the
scene.

Bond Issue
On Ballot
(Continued from Page One)
Organization and the State
Department of Education.
Non-high districts which
would be involved would be
Pioneer, Hood Canal, Southside,
Kamilche and Grapeview.
The new high school is the
third phase in a building program
which was started three years ago
and which saw special levies
approved for the construction of
the new addition to Bordeaux
School and the new Mt. View
addition which is presently under
construction.
The district already owns the
40-acre site on which the
proposed new school would be
located.
If the bond issue is approved
Tuesday, it would take about two
years before the new high school
would be ready for use, one year
for planning and getting contracts
for the construction and one year
for the construction.
The site for the new facility
to replace Rogers School has not
yet been selected definitely, but,
it would probably be on a part of
the property the district owns at
Mt. View Elementary School.

by mothers. Mrs. Keith McGehe, a foster mother for
Children's Home Society of Washington, is getting all the
help she needs from her daughter Mindy. The infant is being
cared for until an adoption is arranged. Your dollars to the
annual Mason County UGN drive help to make possible the
