Holiday on Main Street Pastor Neil Thompson and his wife Edie make lefse, a traditional Norwegian pastry, at a past "Holiday on Main Street" bazaar, hosted by Faith Lutheran Church women and Thrivent Financial. This year's version of the annual fund-raiser will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, at 1212 Connection Street in Shelton. There will be individual shops, such as the Christmas boutique, sweet and craft shops, Granny's Attic and Autumn Harvest. There will be four raffles with proceeds to benefit the Mason County Shelter for the homeless and programs of Rushford Lutheran Church in Minnesota, where floods caused devasta- tion in August. Herb Cargill will cook his soups for a lunch that also features pie and those who attend will also be invited to sup on homemade sweet rolls with coffee and hot apple cider for breakfast. There will be demonstrations of how to make lefse and krumkake. A distinct Scandinavian flavor may be savored in Tom River's sweet soup over rice pudding.
