Mason County resi-
dents have another op-
tion for gassing up in
Shelton after a new fu-
eling center opened last
month.
Fred Meyer, located at
301 E. Wallace Kneeland
Blvd., opened a 10-pump
gas station Oct. 20, with
a grand opening last
weekend.
"Things have gone
very good," said store di-
rector Kevin Zoch. "Our
customers are really ex-
cited, our employees are
really excited. It's fun to
hear people respond like
that."
The approximately $2
million project started in
May in the corner of the
grocery store parking
lot and went without a
hitch, Zoch said.
He added construction
was ahead of schedule
for most of the endeavor.
The station added six
jobs to the approximate-
ly 150-person existing
staff at the Fred Meyer
grocery stere, according
to regional Fred Meyer
