A semipalmated plover steps along the waters of Hood Canal on Sunday at
Potlatch State Park. According to Kim Dolgin with the Black Hills Audubon
Society, they are the most common plovers, but usually aren’t found too
far from the water. in winter, their heads are brown and“round, and they
have
