NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR
SHORELINE DEVELOPMENT PERMIT
AND PENDING DECISION
Port of Shelton / Shelton Marina Floating
Reatroom
Pursuant to WAC 173-14-070 Notice is
hereby provided that the City of Shelton has
received a Shoreline Substantial Develop-
ment Permit application for the following
project:
LoceUon: 701 East Pine Street. Asses-
sor's Parcel Number 32020-57-06006.
Project Description" The Port of Shelton
proposes to place a "floating" restroom at the
existing Shelton Marina site located on the
northwest side of Oakland Bay in Shelton,
Washington. The "floating" restroom is in-
tended to serve both water (boat) and upland
visitors to the site. The facility would provide
more accessible restroom facilities to users
of the marina as well as a secondary "pump
out" to augment the existing pump out facility
at the site (located at the end of the same
dock proposed to house the floating rest-
room). The Secondary facility would also act
to alleviate congestion of the single pump-out
facility at peak usage times.
No "construction" Is required for place-
ment of the facility as the Port plans to pur-
chase a prefabricated unit. Placement of the
unit would be performed by Port of Shelton
staff once the prefabricated structure is deliv-
ered on site. Access to the Oakland Bay, for
placement of the structure, would be gained
through use of the existing "Pine Street" boat
launch.
The Port plan s to contract with a septic
hauling service to regularly empty out and
clean the tanks as necessary.
No public hearing is required for the proj-
ect unless requested by a member of the
public. The City of Shelton intends to formally
approve the proposal on November 16, 2007
unless a public hearing is requested on or be-
fore that date. Comments and/or a request for
public hearing should be submitted to: Jason
Dose, City of Sheiton Department of Commu-
nity and Economic Development, 525 West

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR
SHORELINE DEVELOPMENT PERMIT
AND PENDING DECISION
Port of Shelton / Shelton Marina Floating
Reatroom
Pursuant to WAC 173-14-070 Notice is
hereby provided that the City of Shelton has
received a Shoreline Substantial Develop-
ment Permit application for the following
project:
LoceUon: 701 East Pine Street. Asses-
sor's Parcel Number 32020-57-06006.
Project Description" The Port of Shelton
proposes to place a "floating" restroom at the
existing Shelton Marina site located on the
northwest side of Oakland Bay in Shelton,
Washington. The "floating" restroom is in-
tended to serve both water (boat) and upland
visitors to the site. The facility would provide
more accessible restroom facilities to users
of the marina as well as a secondary "pump
out" to augment the existing pump out facility
at the site (located at the end of the same
dock proposed to house the floating rest-
room). The Secondary facility would also act
to alleviate congestion of the single pump-out
facility at peak usage times.
No "construction" Is required for place-
ment of the facility as the Port plans to pur-
chase a prefabricated unit. Placement of the
unit would be performed by Port of Shelton
staff once the prefabricated structure is deliv-
ered on site. Access to the Oakland Bay, for
placement of the structure, would be gained
through use of the existing "Pine Street" boat
launch.
The Port plan s to contract with a septic
hauling service to regularly empty out and
clean the tanks as necessary.
No public hearing is required for the proj-
ect unless requested by a member of the
public. The City of Shelton intends to formally
approve the proposal on November 16, 2007
unless a public hearing is requested on or be-
fore that date. Comments and/or a request for
public hearing should be submitted to: Jason
Dose, City of Sheiton Department of Commu-
nity and Economic Development, 525 West
Cots Street, Sheiton, WA 98584 by Thursday
