The Shelton wrestling team is returning
with force this season.
"We have more than 20 successful wres-
tlers back and a whole bunch of new faces,"
Chris Lacy, head coach, said.
Among those returners is an even doz-
en seniors: Ty McCullough, Ivan Fiedler,
Kushiah McCullough, Colby Barber, Jona-
than Dennis, Ricardo Franco, Adam Coff-
man, Skylar Core, Sabrina Dennis, Matt
Goldsby, Nick Hagberg and Bobby Neal.
"It's a very good team," Lacy said. "They
have a lot of high level experience. It's a re-
ally good group. This will be one of Shelton's
best wrestling teams."
Last season, the Highclimbers finished
second at league, eighth at regionals and
39th at state.
The team also has three state partici-
pants returning. Ty McCullough wrestled
at 112 at state while Barber wrestled at 160
and junior Jakeob Garrick wrestled at 125.
