Holiday help for local people in need

Tis the season for giving and receiv-
ing in Mason County.
T’s Café in downtown Shelton is col-
lecting donations of items to help im-
prove the holidays for residents who
have lost their jobs due to the corona-
virus. Gift requests from local families
are listed on tags on the business’s Giv-
ing Tree at 118 S. Third St.
The gifts should be wrapped and la-
beled and dropped off by 3 p.m. Dec. 18.

Meet Milo! He is a 5—year—old, handsome,
loving, and smart Boxer/Saint Bernard mix in
search of an active, outdoorsy adult only family.
Other dogs (with proper introduction) should
be big like Milo. He has the most expressive
‘ eyes, accented with manly outlines of black
hair, do well on a leash, and know quite a few
basic commands, including "sit", "stay",
"wait",
"release "down "stack", and "look at me”.

grams connect vulnerable adults with
information and social and health
services to help them remain in their
homes. Most clients are poor and have
health problems that limit their mobil-
ity.
The agency has a wish list for 16 Ma-
son County residents who are clients.
Monetary donations will be accepted
via PayPal or credit or debit at https://
www.lmtaaa.org/light-of-hope. In the
“write a note” section, list the number of
the client it you prefer. Checks can also
be mailed to LMTAAA, 2404 Heritage
Court S.W. Olympia 98502. Donations
are tax deductible and will be accepted
through Dec. 16. For more information,

The Mason County residents seeking
items are:
Client No. 1 is a 49-year-old woman
whose health conditions affect her mo-
bility. Walking sticks would help her
get around and increase her indepen-
dence.
Client No. 2 is a 53-year-old woman
with debilitating health conditions and
no family in the area. She needs new
bedding. .
Client No. 3 is a 65—year-old man who
lives alone and has no family or friends
in the area. He has extreme breathing
problems and needs a new filter for his
air purifier. He also needs such care
items as dry shampoo caps.
Client No. 4 is a 54-year-old woman
who lives alone in a small apartment.
She is battling cancer and has lost her
hair from chemotherapy —- she wants a
wig.
Client No. 5 is a man in his late 60s
with multiple chronic health conditions.
He wants a twin-size heated blanket to
keep warm.
Client No. 6 is a 55-year-old woman
who lives alone. She wants a Winter
coat, a pair or two of everyday shoes,
comfortable clothes, beet crystals, a
'snow shovel, and gift cards from Fred
Meyer or Walmart to buy clothes and
food at the same location.
Client No. 7 is a 47-year-old woman
who lives with her mother; both have
medical conditions. She needs a winter
coat, shirts and pants. She can use gift
cards from Walmart of Fred Meyer.
Client No. 8 is a 67-year-old man
who wants cleaning supplies for him-
self and his house: Comet, Blue Dawn
dish soap, shampoo and body wash. He
also wants blank Christmas cards, en-
velopes and stamps.
Client No. 9 is a 75-year-old woman
who lost a lot of weight battling cancer
and needs new pants, jackets and shoes
in petite sizes.

Client No. 10 is a 53-year-old woman
who wants cleaning supplies — particu-
larly Clorox wipes — a welcome mat for
her back door, winter boots and food.
Client No. 11 is a woman in her mid
30s who asks for new bath towels, gro-
ceries, and waterproof pads for her hos—
pital bed. She has a preference for Fred
Meyer, where she can purchase all ne—
cessities.
Client No. 12 is a man in his mid 30s
who is legally blind who wants books on
tape, bath towels and food.
Client No. 13 is a woman with
quadriplegia who requests an Android
phone, oral hygiene care products, flan-
nel sheets for a twin-size hospital bed,
herbal teas and canned tomatoes with-
out salt.
Client No. 14 is a 62-year-old woman
who wants a Safeway gift cards to buy
food, cleaning supplies, laundry deter—
gent and toiletries.
Client No. 15 is an 81-year-old wom-
an who wants Safeway gift cards to buy
food, cleaning supplies, laundry deter-
gent and toiletries.
Client No. 16 is in her 60s. She lost
her partner this year and now lives
with four cats. She wants soft dry cat
food, and prefers Friskies.
. Client No. 17 is in his late 50s and
wants comfortable clothes and house-
hold items.
