Grab-and—go Thanksgiving meals today in Belfair

Free grab-and-go Thanksgiving
meals are available between 11 a.m.
and 1 p.m. today at the HUB Cen-
ter for Seniors, 111 NE. Old Belfair
Highway.
The meals include turkey, gravy,
potatoes and pumpkin pie. Donations
will be accepted, but are not required.
Recipients can swing through the

In the pre-pandemic days, The
HUB Center hosted Thanksgiving
meals for as many as 200 people in-
side the facility, said Beth Gizzi, the
organization’s executive director. A
band was going to perform outside
the center today as motorists passed
through, but the spike in COVID-19
cases cancelled that feature, Gizzi
said.

The meal comes courtesy of $6,300
in grants from United Way and the
Community Foundation of ‘ South
Puget Sound.
That money will also help fund
drive-thru lunches distributed from
11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Fridays through
the end of 2021, or until the center re-
opens, Gizzi said. The staff is cooking
five turkeys, she said.

Also at the HUB Center, every-
thing is half price at The HUB Shop
from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 27. The
shop is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tuesdays through Saturdays, closed
on Sundays and Mondays.
