Norm Sanders, superintendent and a close personal friend of Ormie's, lead the sitar, ceremony. Ormie, who worked on the North Mason buses for over two decades, retired from the district because of illness in 1974. He was unable to attend the dedication. The building was named after Ormie "in view of all the unselfish and dedicated service" lie gave to the school district. After the unveiling of the "Ormiston Transportation Building" sign, everyone was treated to refreshments. i i TRANSPORTATION SUPERVISOR Ron Manwiller and his son look at a plaque that describes the dedication.
