Tahuya Talk
By LENNIA CATES -- CR5-2245
By LENNIA CATES
Officers of the Tahuya
Community Club want to
apologize for the non-appearance
of their guest speaker at this
month's meeting. A spokesman
with the Department of Fisheries
called late that afternoon to say
Mr. Floor had come down with
the flu, making it too late to get
someone else to fill in for him.
Tentative plans are now for a
January appearance of which
we'll keep you posted.
Craft volunteers are being
asked to donate their time and
talents to a new program being
formed at the Senior Citizens
meeting place in Belfair.

Wednesday night had its rewards.
Many went to bed earlier making
for a good night's sleep while
others took the time for family
conversation, not too popular
these days. From most accounts
the latter was found to be very
stimulating and may start a new
trend over the boob tube.
Happy Thanksgiving!

The contract, which will run
from December I until August 1,
will not involve any money from
the North Mason School District,
Superintendent Norm Sanders
said. Charges for any work will
be paid by Grapeview, he said.

secretary, stated that the port
district didn't want to work with
the county on the plans for
county parks.
"We want ,to work with the
county," Mrs. Davis said.
Furthermore, the port has "no
intention of refusing the county
services," she said.
"Just at this time, we're not
prepared to put funds into the
county plan," she explained.
"We expect, to revise our plan so
it conforms to the county plan."
That revision should take
place sometime next spring, she
said.
As for the landscaping of the
North Shore boat launch, also
mentioned in the article, Mrs.
Davis said the port district, as
yet, doesn't have any plans for
the work.
Also, the port doesn't need
anyone's permission before the
work can be done, she said.
However, a public meeting will
be held so residents in the area
of the boat launch will have
some input on the project, she
said.
