in the parent forums has been dropping off, which
concerns her because she wants those families to be

getting students back into the school buildings.
Rosenbach cited studies showing that students
who follow all the proper masking, handwashing
and distancing guidelines in a school where staff are
doing the same, are as safe, if not slightly safer, in
school than in a learning-from-home hybrid envi-
ronment. She conceded that the latest data on COV-
ID-19 in Mason County isn t really good for us right
now.
Rosenbach described the county s COVID-positive

The science and data say there are ways kids
could be in school and learning, but we have to look
at the transmission rate of the virus, Rosenbach
said. Things are not in a stable place right now.
