MEETING
A census of about one-third
of Mason County will be
conducted between December
1-14 as a part of the Trident
planning effort, the Mason
County Planner's Office has
announced.
There will be nine
census-takers, the planner's office
said, and they will be identified
by letter. The census will be made
door to door.
The area to be included in the
census is that north of Shelton
and Hamrnersley Inlet and east of
Highway 101 and Hood Canal.
This area was selected because it
is the area of the county which
will be most affected by the
Trident installation.
The census is being made
through a state grant.

Q. What's worse than breaking in a new
pair of cork boots?
A. Nothing. First you spend about a
hundred bucks for 'el and then for a
couple of weeks they beat your dogs
to death.
There's an answer. We can take your
comfortable old clodhoppers and make
them like new. We'll fix everything,
including heels and toe-caps. You save a
bundle of cash and your feet will love
you for it!
