Graveside services were held
at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Shelton
Memorial Park for Victor Paul
Bunnell who died Sunday in his
home at the age of 84 years.
Mount Moriah Lodge No. 11 F
and AM officiated.
Mr. Bunnell was born July 22,
1891 in Coquille, Oregon. For the
past 50 years he had lived in this
area, and had been employed as a
grader operator in Mason County.
For 50 years he held
membership in Masonic Lodge
No. 64 F and AM in Hoquiam,
and in Shelton he was active in
the Senior Center and the Golden
Age Club.
Surviving him are a daughter,
Mrs. Elsie V. Hiller of Lilliwaup;

Memorial services were held
on Saturday in the
Newell-Hoerling's Funeral Home
in Chehalis, Washington for Ruth
LaVerne Kaszycki, 47, who died
Thursday in Shelton.
Mrs. Kaszycki was born
December 6, 1927 in Centralia,
Washington, and had lived in the
Shelton area for the past 25 years.
She was a member of the
Christian Science Church.
She taught school in the Hood
Canal Elementary System and was
a member of Washington
Education Association and of the
Shelton Music Club.
Surviving Mrs. Kaszycki
are her husband, George, of
of=Centralia; a brother, John G.
Halgren of Springfield, Oregon;
and a sister, Mrs. Charlotte
Anderson of San Jose, California.

Simmons
James Gordon Simmons, a
resident of Grays Harbor and
Mason County for the last 50
years, died in Mason General
Hospital Thursday after a long
illness. He was born November 7,
1899 in Portland, Oregon.
He is survived by his wife,
Gretchen, of the home; one
daughter, Dixie Arata of
Vancouver, Washington; two
grandchildren, Sil Arata Jr. and
Susan Arata, of the home in
Vancouver; a son, James Gordon
of Spokane, died in 1964.
In deference to Mr. Simmons'
wishes, no funeral or memorial
services were held.
