Man sentenced
for 2018 felonies
Judge Daniel Goodell sentenced
40-year-old Shane Ammel Lynn to
more than 20 years in prison for three
felony convictionsduring proceedings
Monday in Mason County Superior
Court in Shelton.
Earlier this month during a bench
trial— a trial heard and decided by a
judge rather than

first-degree assault,
possession of a sto—
len motor vehicle
and attempting to
elude a pursuing
law enforcement
vehicle.
Lynn On Monday,
Goodell sentenced
Lynn to 270 months (22 lyé years) in
prison for the assault conviction, 50
months for the stolen vehicle charge
ahd 38 months for the eluding charge.
The sentences will run concurrently,
or at the same time. Lynn also re-
ceived three years’ probation follow-
ing completion of his prison term.
In late June 2018, Mason County
Sheriff s Office personnel learned of
an approximate location for Lynn,
who was wanted in connection with
a recent robbery with a firearm of a
boat, and was reportedly driving a
stolen 2003 Ford pickup truck. Af—
ter authorities spOtted‘Lynn driving
recklessly on East Rivendell Road in
Grapeview, he attempted to flee in
the Ford through the woods and,back
onto backroads. As the pursuit contin-
ued westbound on East Mason Lake
Road, Lynn fired a flare gun at chas-
ing law enforcement vehicles after
throwing “small-sized propane tanks”
at chasing vehicles, according to the
Mason County Sheriff’s Office prob-
able cause affidavit.
After Lynn’s pickup slid down an
embankment and crashed, he fled and
escaped capture. The Mason County
Prosecutor’s office filed charges
against Lynn on July 19 and he made
his initial appearance two days later
in Mason County Superior Court in
Shelton.
No details of Lynn’s arrest were ’
available in court records.
Lynn’s criminal history includes at
least 12 felony convictions. He faced
a maximum penalty ofup to life in
prison and/or a $50,000 fine for the
assault charge.

Superior Court to eight crimes alleg-
ing mistreatment or abandonment of
dependents. V
The 32-year-old
Shelton woman’s
pleas of not guilty to

degree criminal
mistreatment and
second- and third»,
degree abandon-
ment of a dependent
were accepted
by Judge Daniel
Goodell. He scheduled Campbell’s
next court appearance — an omnibus
hearing —— for Dec. 23.
A Mason County Sheriff’s Office
probable cause declaration accuses
Campbell
Campbell of leaving her four children,
ranging from ages 1 to 14, alone at
their Shelton residence for extended
periods. The report states that on
Nov. 12, the residence was without
electricity or working heat with un-
sanitary conditions, including rotting
food in the refrigerator, pet droppings
and smells of mold or mildew perme—
ating throughout the living space.
At the residence, law enforcement
reportedly discovered the youngest
child wearing a days-old dirty diaper
and the child reportedly had a severe
diaper rash.
Campbell’s jury trial is scheduled
to begin the week of Feb. 4. She faces
up to five years in prison and/or a
$10,000 fine for each of the second-
degree criminal mistreatment and
abandonment charges. Each of the
third-degree charges carries a maxi-
mum penalty of up to 364 days in jail
and/or a $5,000 fine.
Campbell appeared in court
Monday out of custody after being
released on personal recognizance
during her Nov. 13 initialcourt ap-
pearance.
Man pleads not
guilty to unlawful
imprisonment
A 59-year-old man pleaded not
guilty Monday to an unlawful impris-
onment charge during his arraign- '
ment hearing in Mason County Supe-
rior Court.

Shelton Police Department person-
nel arrested Zyski on Aug. 20 after
being called to East Dearborn Avenue
for reports of a domestic disturbance.
A probable cause declaration re-
ports a woman told investigators she
came home to find Zyski drunk, and
decided to leave until Zyski sobered
up. The woman reportedly stated
Zyski attempted to disable the pickup
truck she tried to leave in by discon-
necting the brake line, then tried to
spray her with a fire extinguisher
while she was behind the wheel.
According to the probable cause
report, after the woman managed to
escape across the street she heard as
many as four gunshots coming from
Zyski’s residence.
A recently fired .38—caliber revolv—
er was reportedly at the scene after
Zyski surrendered to law enforce-
ment. ‘
If convicted, Zyski faces up to five
