The league featured six teams playing round robin matches beginning Oct. 14 and concluding Nov. 18. All six teams competed in the Single-elimination championship tournament. The matches were best- of-three and the sets were scored to 15. . Salmon shing closedat Hoodsport The Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife closed salmon shing in the Hoodsport Hatchery Zone on Nov: 18 until further notice. Anglers must also release chum in the remainder of Marine Area 12 (Hood Canal). The Hoodsport Hatchery Zone is waters within a 2,000 foot arc seaward of the yellow marker buoys at the mouth of Finch Creek. The WDFW in a release announcing the action said that hatchery returns are below projections and that the conservation measure is necessary to ensure that hatchery brobdstock goals are met. Highclimber wrestling hosts fundraiser Saturday The Shelton High School boys and girls wrestling teams hosts a fWrestling and Tacos fundraiser at 5 pm. Saturday at the Mini-Dome in Shelton. Christmas tree permits went on sale Nov. 12 at Olympic National Forest of ces. Those wanting to cut their own tree can Visit of- ces in Olympia, Quilcene or Quinault to purchase their $5 permit to cut their own Christmas tree on National Farest System land. Families with fourth-graders who have an Every Kid Outdoors Pass can get a free cutting permit. The child must be present when picking up the permit. Informational material and a map showing where to harvest your tree will be included with the permit. Friday is nal free 'state parks day of 2019 Friday has been designated by the Washington W State Parks and Recreation Commission as. the nal free day of 2019. Day uSe visitors will not need a Discover Pass for vehicle access. ' In 2017, the agency also set aside the day after Thanksgiving as a free day to encourage people to get outside and visit a state park in autumn. , The pass is required for vehicle access to state recreation lands managed by Washington State Parks, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) and the Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
