Mason County businesses are making generous donations of goods and services for the
auction to benefit Toys for Kids Plus Dec. 8 at Bob's Tavern in downtown Shelton. Noel
Longan, owner of D&L Automotive in Shelton, is donating a 1996 Ford Taurus for the auction.
A customer brought the car in for repairs, and when she couldn't afford them, gave the car to
Longan. Longan said he and his wife immediately thought about the Toys for Kids Plus
benefit, and his business is doing the needed repair work. Longan's business has donated
services to the auction for five or six years, including alignments and scan tests. The goal "is
making little kids happy," he said.
