The City of Shelton has
received a favorable audit
report for the 15th year in a
row, city officials said Mon-
day.
The city recently complet-
ed its exit audit for the period
of time from January 1, 2010
through December 31, 2010.
State auditors said the
city's internal controls to
protect assets were adequate

nance Mike Byrne.
This year is particularly
special, as it's the city's 15th
year with no findings in its
audit.
"That's a real hats off to
the financial department,"
Byrne said.
In fact, the city expects
to get a letter of recognition
from Washington State Audi-
tor Brian Sonntag soon.
"He's prettyimpressed
too," Byrne said.
The state auditors of-
rice sent the city two audit
reports: A Financial State-
ments and Single Audit Re-
port and an Accountability
Audit Report. The financial
report gave detailed accounts
of the city's finances.
The accountability audit
gave a report on whether
