The homicide victim found by Shel-

Wily’s remains were found in the

Police officers and sheriffs deputies
arrested two suspects at a residence in
Shelton about 7 pm. that same day.

of death as trauma to the body caused
by another person, but declined to re-
lease further details as of press time.
A news release by Shelton Police on
Nov. 25 stated, “This does not appear
to be a random act, [as] the victim and-
suspect knew each other.”

Mason County Prosecuting Attor-
ney Michael K. Dorcy noted that Col-
lett’s clock toward a speedy trial can’t
start until he receives a competency
hearing, and even if both suspects’
pretrial hearings are able to‘ be sched-
uled promptly in January, Dorcy is
anticipating the likelihood of continu-
ance motions, given the number of con-
tinuance motions he’s expecting, since
“this case has a lot of moving parts.”
