TO 12.00 By SIGRID CRABTREE Thirteen students from SllS are becoming involw, d. These students have formed a Youth ARC program in Shclton This club is for helping the mentally retarded. The name means "Youth organized and United to help speak for the mentally retarded person. Their main projects this year include a money raising project of selling l:lame of liope candles, the John F. Kennedy and the Cullilc. These candles are made by mentally retarded persons m work shops all over the country. The club is planning to organize a local Olympics competition. The money raised will be used to send winners to the ragional in~et in Vancouver, the State meet in Spokane and perhaps the internationals in Chicago. The officers are Sandy Stone. president; Marilyn Mounts. vice-president : Nancy t!veleth, secretary: and Sandy Mell. treasurer.
